This design symbolizes how different styles and identities can come together as one, representing unity, diversity, and inclusion through school uniforms. The project highlights the issue of appearance-based bullying in Norway, where clothing and visual identity are often used as grounds for exclusion.
By reframing school uniforms as a way to reduce this form of bullying, the campaign aims to shift the focus away from material status and toward personality, skills, and individuality beyond clothes.
The message is intentionally positive and visually engaging, encouraging both students and parents to reflect on the hidden struggles behind bullying. While one of the main arguments against school uniforms is the fear of “losing identity,” the campaign challenges this perspective, emphasizing that identity is not defined by clothing. Instead, it underscores the emotional and social cost faced by children who are bullied.
I designed a mobile app that allows parents to enter their yearly spending on their child’s school clothing. The app then compares these costs with the price of school uniforms, highlighting the potential savings over time.
I chose to use the letter ’U’ from the name Unistyle as the core element of the logo because it makes the brand more recognizable and memorable.
The letter ‘U’ represents unity, uniformity, and uniqueness- all key values of the campaign.
